Chasen \u2013 bamboo whisk for matcha<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Traditional chasen<\/strong> This is an essential accessory for preparing matcha in the style of a Japanese tea ceremony. It is used to thoroughly mix the powder with water and achieve a delicate, creamy foam on the surface of the drink.<\/p>\n

Handcrafted from a single piece of light bamboo, the chasen is a marvel of simplicity, precision, and functionality. Its finely cut, flexible tines allow for the effective whisking of matcha without clumps, bringing out its smooth consistency and full flavour.<\/p>\n

It is best used in combination with Matcha bowl (chawan)<\/strong>, with its wide base and suitable shape for vigorous matcha whisking. For the best results, matcha should be prepared in water at a temperature around 70\u201380\u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How to care for a chasen?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

To retain its shape and prolong its life, rinse it thoroughly after each use and allow it to dry \u2013 preferably on special base for the chasen<\/strong> (sold separately).<\/p>\n

Wilgotny chatten should not be stored in airtight or sealed packaging, as this can encourage the build-up of moisture and mould.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
